This fiery "percussive journey" through the South of Italy and crossing to Brazil will explore through songs, dance and rhythm, magic rituals, tarantellas used as music therapy to cure the mythical bite of the tarantula , healing chants and ritual drumming in honor of the Black Madonna, (TAMMORRIATA)  love ballads,  and the healing trance dance of the   PIZZICA TARANTATA. Alessandra Belloni's original compositions honoring Yemanja and Oxun, Goddesses of Love and Waters, Xango, of the Afro- Brazilian Yoruba tradition . The  dancers all dressed in white, blue and red (traditional colors in Italy & Brazil)  will lead the audience in a  final ritual dance, from Southern Italian 6/8 trance rhythms of the Pizzica to the Brazilian Samba and Baiao celebrating two cultures that have common roots in Africa.
